Here at Ancaster Family Chiropractic, we value our patients. We acknowledge that going to a new place for the first time can be nerve racking. We want to do everything we can to eliminate any unnecessary stressors, which is why we include the option of printing and completing your forms at home. We think of our patients as part of our extended family, and we are excited to meet you!

First Visit

Your very first visit to our Chiropractic clinic will be a discovery process to determine the source of your health concerns. Some people seek care in our clinic because they want to be sure they are functioning at 100%. Unfortunately, many people wait until they have symptoms and deteriorating health before they seek a solution to the underlying cause of their problems. When you enter our clinic, you will be greeted and asked to complete simple health forms. We will ask you about different stresses and traumas you have experienced in the past, that may have caused spinal damage.

The next step is a thorough spinal examination to determine any abnormal alignment and motion patterns in your spine and how these could be detrimentally affecting your nerve system.

If any further imaging studies, such as x-ray are necessary, they will be performed at this time.

Take a look to see what to expect during your second visit.

Second Visit

If Dr. Neil determines you are a good candidate for structural chiropractic care, he will then arrange for your next visit, the Doctor’s Report.

At the Doctor’s Report, Dr. Neil will give a detailed overview of how structural chiropractic care works as well as the evidence supporting the specialized work that we do. This takes place in a small group setting with other new patients. Following the report, you will be taken privately to review the results of your examination and your x-rays (if taken). Dr. Neil will then let you know how much we can help you and you can decide what you’d like to do.

Regular Visits
When you begin care, a typical visit only takes a few minutes. An adjustment doesn’t require much time, but it is what allows your body to begin the healing process.
